At Valley Lab Furnishings, we’re proud of how our company has expanded over the last five and half years. We’re happy to have been part of various projects in a variety of influential institutions, from MIT and Harvard, to Stanford School of Medicine and UCLA, and many others like the Children’s Hospitals in both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
Our largest project to date, however, was our contribution to Columbia University in New York.
This project was unique. It required design for the labs themselves, as well as a variety of designs to overcome challenges in onsite installation. It was commissioned by ISEC, Inc., one of America’s largest suppliers, and covered 157 custom spines over 7 floors of the building.
We were responsible for finalizing the design, overlooking fine details of the project, coordinating assembly, and all while attempting to reduce assembly and installation hours. In the end, we produced custom carts that would allow installers ease of movement of materials on the job site. We then further increased efficiency by shipping sub-assembled frames to the site. As a final measure to reduce installation hours, we provided pre-wired labeled circuits which ran to a single point connection and enabled us to enhance on-site coordination to dramatically decrease the chance of mistake.
We’re proud to be able to say that we showed our devotion to efficiency, customer satisfaction, quality work, and ethical communication methods. In the years to come, we look forward to projects with similarly prestigious institutions and our chance to show our commitment to our clients.
